John Key Officially Opens Cardinal's New DC

The Right Hon John Key officially opened Cardinals new State of the Art Distribution Centre (DC) at Nesdale Ave, Wiri on 26 February 2014.

The DC was developed to manage the 3PL and distribution requirements of cornerstone client, Griffins Foods and since opening additional new customers including Red Bull, Nuplex Specialties and NZ Drinks have moved in.

The site comprises 20,000 sq m of warehouse storage for 44,500 standard pallets. There is also approximately 10,000 sq m of canopied hard stand.

The latest equipment and technology was included in Cardinals investment comprising of plastic LED lighting for safety and enhanced energy saving, Dexion 7 high double deep racking as well as a Schaefer Orbitor semi automatic racking system and a fully integrated 'scan pick' replenishment process endorsing Cardinals position as a competitive industry leader.

$93,707 raised at the Child Cancer Foundation Golf Day!

🏌️‍♂️ Driving for a Cause! ⛳ On 16th October, we were proud to host our annual Cardinal Child Cancer Foundation Golf Day at Whitford Park Golf, helping raise an incredible $93,707 to support children and families facing childhood cancer. This results in a running total for our support of this charity to up to $1,400,000!

In recognition of a partnership spanning over 25 years and over $1,300,000 raised for Child Cancer Foundation, our Managing Director, Tony Gorton was honoured with the Distinguished Services Award, and Cardinal was also presented with the Impact Award for its services hosting the Annual Golf Tournament that now regularly raises over $100,000 each year.
