Gary Takiari - Shorthaul Driver
Gary became a valued member of the Cardinal team around 24 years ago in 1992 delivering products in a van when Cardinal was based out of Tony's home office. He says that he feels 'priviledged to be able to see and be a part of Cardinal's growth into such a successful business today'. Gary now covers the Hamilton route and forefront in his mind is creating a excellent experience for both the customers and his co-workers by delivering his goods on time, undamaged and with the correct paperwork. Gary is a well respected member of the team with a great sense of humor and is always up for the daily challenges of his role.
Kim Cullen - Warehouse Administration Manager
Kim Cullen has been with Cardinal Logistics since 1997 and over 25 year’s experience in logistics. Kim has seen the company grow from approximately 20 staff to over 400 and is well-known and appreciated by all staff and customers that she deals with. As the Warehouse Administration Manager for our Mangere warehouse; Kim overseas all orders processed and works closely with all clients. She works closely on a daily basis with key areas of the operation, ensuring all orders are processed and picked on time to reach their destinations within the required time frames. Kim is passionate about her job and will always assist when needed with customer queries and with the transition of new clients.
Salesi Fusikata - Night Operations Manager
Salesi says that Cardinal has given him the opportunity to kick off and develop his career with Logistics. Salesi started as a Storeperson and currently holds the position of Operations Manager - Night Shift. He recognises the many challenges of the role and says "Without the help of key management staff past and present I wouldn’t become who I am today with Cardinal."
Ramhari Sedhain - Assistant AccountantRamhari's journey with Cardinal started in Dec 2014 when he took up the task to look after the AR Function after 10 years of involvement in different sector finance and accounting. Since then he has added a range of skills to his profile including software such as Qlikview, Greentree, Jobplus, and Multipick, and has been involved in various innovation and growth projects including implementation of ERP and process automation. Ramhari says that "Cardinal’s support regarding by study and skill development has always been appreciated. It feels great to be valued as a team player in such a hard working finance team and to see myself growing alongside Cardinal."
Matt Tuffs - Operations Manager
Matt Tuffs moved from the UK in March 2016 and started at Cardinal not long after as a Team Leader of a smaller department. Using his previous 9 years of Logistics experience he worked his way up to the Operations Manager role at Westney, which covers a huge variety of customers. Matt is passionate and highly driven to succeed in all that he does by being a solid believer that one on one interaction with all staff is the best way to build a successful business. He says that he "always strives to create a happy and safe working environment for his team, to encourage them to succeed and fulfil the customer promise."
Mario Skipper - Branch Manager
Mario began working in the Cardinal Logistics Team in November 2016. He was an Operations Manager in his previous role and has a strong background in Freight and Logistics. Mario was looking to move up to a management role when Tony Gorton gave him the opportunity to manage the Cardinal Logistics warehouse in Palmerston North. Mario explains, "I have had nothing but the upmost support from Tony and the head office team, and with that support we have had great success". This has become the best adventure of Mario's career to date and he looks forward to continue to strive to be the best team in Cardinal Logistics and support our customers.
Dave Tapara - Warehouse Manager
Dave joined the Cardinal team at the Asaleo Care Chch site in October 2010 as a warehouse operator doing pick and put away tasks. It wasn’t long before Dave was promoted to Supervisor after demonstrating a mature work ethic and broad knowledge of the operation. In 2017 Dave was promoted to Manager and now leads a high performing team of 10 staff across 2 shifts. As a Manager, Dave takes his H&S responsibilities very seriously and therefore has a visible presence out on the floor where he can be seen promoting an excellent safety culture within the team.It’s clear Dave’s a guy who lives and breathes Cardinal’s values through his work each day, which has earned him the respect of all his colleagues and customers.
